Nothing Is Impossible-Lace

Hey guys! Welcome back to TGWAM! It’s 2017!!! That’s crazy! This year has so much in store for the blog and I can’t wait for it all to come together. 🙂 Most of us set “New Year’s Resolutions”. Now, let’s be honest… Do we ever really keep them the ENTIRE year? We don’t. Maybe some of you have, and I applaud you for that, but I know that I don’t. One of my New Year’s Resolutions is to have all of my blog posts this year written at least a day in advance. I post on Tuesdays, so that would mean having it written and ready to go by Sunday evening. Especially now since school is starting back after Christmas break, I really need to keep this resolution. Will I try my hardest? Yes, but will it always be written that far in advance? Probably not. :’D

Anyway, I think I’ve come up with a resolution for us all. It isn’t hard to keep, and honestly it’s something we all should be doing everyday anyway. I think a New Year’s Resolution we should all have is to be open to God’s plan for our lives. A lot of the time when God shows us a part of his plan for our lives that seems completely INSANE we tend to back away. We tend to ask God if He’s being serious. Sometimes we think it’s so impossible that it’ll never happen. Around the beginning of last year Allie Wilson, one of the lead singers in our youth band, Chapel, asked my dad, our youth minister, if they were actually going to produce a CD. This is something they had been talking about for a long time and Allie didn’t think that they were actually going to do it. Well, she was wrong. Tomorrow night at 6 o’clock Chapel is releasing their first album, Unchained. It’s such an amazing thing to see how God has worked in the lives of these five teenagers.

God shows us things that we think are impossible, but they really aren’t. The thing is though, we can’t just say “Oh yeah, God is gonna do amazing things in my life,” and not work for it. Yes, it may be hard and it may be something you don’t want to do but you have to work for it. God isn’t Santa Clause. He doesn’t just bring the amazing things that happen in life right to your fingertips. Bryanna and I going to Africa is going to have to be worked for. We can’t just think that the money will come up somehow magically, we just can’t easily find a way to get there without complications, it’s something we’re going to have to work for, but I know it’s going to be worthwhile in the long run.

Being open to what God has in store for you is a New Year’s Resolution we can all at least try and keep. Having a teachable spirit will help guide you through His plan for you and make it easier to be open to some of the “crazy”, “insane”, “impossible” things He will show you during your life. Always be open because you never know what amazing things can happen. God called me to be a missionary and I thought it was crazy, more insane, and most definitely impossible, but through the past four months He has showed me that it may be crazy and insane, but it’s worth it, and NOTHING is impossible with Him. Thanks for reading today’s post! I can’t wait to see what 2017 has in store for Bryanna, myself, our church, and the blog!

XOXO and Happy New Year,

Lace ❤
